♥ Get Ready for Valentines Day ♥

Hey dolls, Jaz' here! Valentines' Day is right around the corner and I know you girls wanna look your best on this special, lovely day. So I'm here with a few tips and ideas for you all to look your best. Lets start with the face.

Makeup

My take on makeup for Valentines Day is that it should be very natural for the most part. Play up your natural beauty by enhancing but not over-covering the features that attracted your beau to you in the first place. For a day-date, I would suggest a neutral eye with some winged liner and either a nude or a warm pink lip-glossed, lip. Kind of the flawless, no-makeup makeup look. If you are going out at night of course you want to be a little more dramatic with your look. For this, I would suggest a cat-eye, some blush that is complimentary to your skin tone, and a either a bold red or bold pink lip achieved with lipstick. If you, however, feel that your eyes are a better feature for you than your lips you may want to do a smokey eye and keep everything else very, very neutral. Ultimately the real rule here is to play to what you feel is your most naturally beautiful feature, enhance it, and leave everything else fairly simple. Take inspiration from the makeup looks on these ladies below:

 

Hair

Now with hair, I will just give you guys a few photo suggestions, but for the most part, I suggest something fun, flowy, and feminine.

You've got to smell good ladies! The proper scent can trigger an innate sense of attraction and desire.

The scents of tuberose, violet, and hiscubus flowers are strong in this perfume.

It has a scent with an heir of sophistication without being too serious.

Very sweet and flirty, its a delighful smell for day or night. 

Sultry/Sexy

Noir Tease by Victoria Secret

This is one scent that will have him trailing behind you like a puppy dog all night.

Very grown 'n' sexy, your sure to be a real "tease" with this one.

Fresh

Bath & Body Works Cucumber Melon Perfume

Strong notes of cucumber and frosted melon give this perfume a crisp, clean vibe that is

sweet & feminine at the same time.

Fun & Fruity

DKNY Be Delicious

The fun and fruity green apple scent is to die for! The citrus undertones make it more 

of a daytime scent, but it can be worked for nighttime as well.

Trendspotting: Sequins

Hey chicas, Jaz' here! Here's a trend thats all the rage right now and perfect for adding a little spunk to your outfits during this holiday season. Sequins! They can be mixed with your everyday wardrobe to make you stand out from the crowd. At nighttime, they can also be used as a main piece to turn heads and liven up the party soon as you walk thru the door. Take note from a few of these fashionable celebs:

Whether worn as a fitted blazer (like Blake Lively), a sassy skirt (like Jennifer Lopez), or a poppin gold frock (like Kim Kardashian), these bold looks would be sure to turn heads at any occasion. Sequins make a powerful statement, but with this power comes great responsibility. Be sure not to overdo the look by adding too many sequins in too many places. Only one item of clothing in any ensemble should contain sequins, lest your outfit become a shiny joke and your friends coin you a walking disco ball. Even if your sequin piece is more of an accessory (such as shoes or a purse), let it shine on its own. Keep everything else pretty subtle and you have a winning look! Hey dolls, its Jaz' here back with another outfit of the day. The date was Sunday 12/18/2011 and it was my moms birthday! This outfit was worn to church  and to dinner later that day.

Weaved Up!

Its Jaz' here, & i said, yes I said it...i am WEAVED UP and glad about it! The hair is ModelModel Equal Pretty Curl 18in in a color 1B. I did a full sew-in (no leave-out) using two and a half bags & its cost??? 10 dollars. Now it is a blend of hair, meaning that it is not fully human but not fully synthetic either. While I would NEVER purchase a straight hair weave that is synthetic in any form, I don't mind doing it with a curly 'do. Curly hair requires much less wear and tear to be put on it than straight hair and can become even cuter as it ages and frizzes. I've had this hair for about 2 weeks now and its not very much maintenance at all. To care for it, I just use a vent brush to detangle and Wave Nouveau Moisturizing Finishing Mist to soften and define the curls. To preserve the hair I sleep with a bonnet at night. You can also put the hair into big twist at night if you are looking to further preserve the curl. The hair does tangle and shed, which is to be expected, but its not unbearable. I plan on keeping this hair 2-3 more weeks. Below is a shot of my hair on the first day I did it and a shot of how it looks now that its 2wks later. (<----- Day 1 on left, Day 14 on right ---->)

     

Notice how in the day 14 shot, the hair is bigger and the curls slightly looser. See, told ya, gets better with time if ya ask me ;)

OOTD !

Hey dollies, Jaz' here with an outfit of the day! I believe the day was 11/29/11....not too cold out, it was probably around the mid 60s. Hope you all like!

Very simple outfit, denim shirt & leather leggings. Minimal jewelry, I'm only wearing black and gold stud-style earrings, hidden by my hair and I know you cant see the shoes from this pic so I'll provide pics below

Just a pair of snakeskin flats to add a little flair to the outfit.

This outfit is perfect for school, or just a day out running errands. You can be casual but still look stylish & be comfortable and practical on a chill breezy day.
