Forever 21 Haul !

Hey dolls, its Jaz' here with a haul from Forever 21! This remains one of my favorite stores as they keep trendy pieces for affordable prices. Here are my purchases:

black & gold statement necklace $6.80
Statement necklaces are really big this season and an easy way to spice up any outfit.
Check Ashley's blog post on bib necklaces for more info on styling the trend.

yellow & gold slipnot earring $1.50
Who can do without some nice snazzy studs especially a pair this cute and cheap??

silver spike earrings $1.50
A nice pair of spike studs to add a bit of edge to any outfit

hair bands $1.00
Since I'm natural, these bands are a necessity for when styling my hair without weave. Regular hair bands just dont cut it anymore. I need the long elastic ones that can fit around my head and it helps to have them in neutral colors.

black and white long pant $17.80
A comfortable pair of pants in a nice funky print. Roomy, loose pockets, with a skinny fit at the ankles these pants can have an almost "harem" type vibe and can be scrunged up for a different look.

pink lace top $9.80
A nice top for layering and a nice pastel color perfect for the coming spring.

nude shimmer lip gloss $1.80
I wanted a nice nude color for my lips that would add a hint of color but still be subtle enough to go with any makeup look. I figured it'd go good with the nude lipstick I already have from NYC in Cafe.

Alright guys, these are my purchases and thus far I am thrilled with them! tell me what you guys think, which item was your favorite? Least favorite? Leave your comments below!! Until next time dollcakes! :)

Weaved Up!

New weave ya'll!!! Excuse the makeup-less face o_O. But it's Jaz' here and im showing off my new 'do. This is a full sew-in using Premium Too hair in a color 1b. I used 2 and a half bags to achieve this style. The bags were in lengths 16in', 14in', and 10in'. I also used one track of blond hair as a highlight in the bang. I wanted to put a subtle pop of color into this weave 'do without it being too obvious, overdone, or ghetto. Now I have used Premium Too hair before and it always last pretty well, maintains its thickness and its manageability with proper care. It does shed however, but not excessively. Because I just installed this weave less than a week ago, I haven't yet experienced any of those problems with this install. I plan on keeping this weave for about 2 months. As I near the end of that time period I may cut the weave into a bob for more longevity and a little variety. If I choose to do so, I will definitely update you guys. At any rate, hope you guys like my hair. I know I do! Until next time!!!

Project Runway All Stars Recap: Episode Two

Hello all, I am back with another “All Stars” recap! The challenge tonight was for the designers to create a gown that could be worn to the opera. The catch was that they only had a day to do it and a budget of $350! That is an insane task to do in such a short amount of time, but of course these talented individuals managed to pull it off… well some of them did.

and the winner is **drum roll**

AUSTIN SCARLETT! A.K.A. “Scarlett O’Hara” and the “Queen of Couture Gowns.” This dress is made of lame fabric; for those of you unfamiliar with textiles this fabric is VERY hard to work with. So for Miss Scarlett to achieve this stunning gown in less than 24 hours is nothing short of amazing. It reminds me a lot of the famous Marilyn Monroe picture where she is in a gold gown (pictured below). CONGRATS AUSTIN!

RUNNER UP...

MICHAEL COSTELLO! I have to be honest, this dress was my favorite. There is nothing I love more than a LBD, but this dress far surpasses that. The jewels, the feathers ahhhh! Issac Mizrahi (one of the judges) said that he could see Kim Kardashian wearing this to an event and I agree! I’m sure this was a very hard judging because both gowns were to die for.

But in life someone must always take the L, and that person was...

YES YALL, SWEET PEA AGAIN! My goodness, you would think with them giving her a chance to come back after making that dish rag last week, she’d be on fire. Nope, this was her idea of an opera gown. Bye, bye Sweetie! Her time was definitely overdue.

Overall this challenge was interesting, I enjoy seeing the intricate details of gowns. The competition is already getting stiff. Keep staying tuned to my recaps. Remember make fashion simple; and then add a touch of glam.
