Mini Makeup Haul !

Hello bloggers and happy new year!!!! Its Jaz' here and I wanted to share with you all a few makeup purchases I made earlier today. All items were purchased from Walmart and totaled to a little over $16. Here's what I purchased:

NYC Ultra Moist Lip Wear in Petal
93cents
NYC Ultra Moist Lip Wear in Retro Red
 93cents
NYC Smooth Skin Liquid Concealer
in Light $3.57
Loreal Studio Secrets Professional
 Color Smokes Eyeshadow
in Forest Smokes $5.97

NYC Brow & Liner Pencil
in Dark Brown $1.72

NYC Shadow Applicators
93cents
NYC Instant Lash All Purpose
Mascara in Extreme Black $1.00
Can you believe I got all those items for around $16??? I am the queen of frugalistas, girls, I tell you lol. I called this a mini haul because most of these items I have purchased before but the NYC Instant Lash Mascara, the NYC shadow applicators, and the Loreal Studio Secrets Professional Color Smokes Eyeshadow are first time buys. I will do reviews on these products after I try them out. As far as the products I have tried, the lip colors are both very pigmented and very moisturizing to the lips. NYC lipstick in Retro Red is a very true to color fire engine red. NYC lipstick in Petal is light pink and has a slight shimmer to it when applied. I love both colors. I use the NYC concealer to define my brows, which is why I got it a few shades lighter than my skin tone. I have been pleased with this concealer, it def gets the job done, though it can a little extra effort to blend sometimes. I use the brow pencils, of course, to fill in my brows. I use a dark brown shade because black looks unnatural. You should never use black for brows. These pencils are inexpensive and work very well for my brow process.

At any rate guys, these are the products I purchased. I hope you guys enjoyed this haul and maybe my purchases can inspire you all for the next time you need a new makeup item for the low. Until next time!

My Top Five Style Icons of 2011

Hey babes it's Ashley here with another post! How was everyone’s New Years? I hope you all rang in the new year with a bang. So, speaking of 2011 I have compiled… yes another list! This time I am putting the spotlight on my top fashionistas of the year. Let us begin with…

MICHELLE OBAMA
Anyone close to me knows I ADORE our First Lady! From her sheath dresses to her skinny waist belts she brought "classy chic" back. Her clothes are always tailored to fit her body perfectly, she is definitely the new Jackie O.

EMMA WATSON
Is that Hermione Granger? LOL, yes it is! Her fashion has done a total 180 and I love it. From her new Twiggy haircut to her statement jewelry, you can always count on her to bring a mix of avante-garde and youthful fashion.

THE KARDASHIAN SISTERS
I loveeeeee the Kardashians, especially Kimmie and no one can deny that she, Kourtney and Khloe have great fashion. And all of their styles are very distinct. Kim is classic, Khloe rocker and Kourtney boho-chic. I would raid all of their closets.

RACHEL ZOE
I dieeee for Rachel Zoe! She is such a trendsetter it's ridiculous; fur vests, check; statement jewelry, check! She began it all. Not to mention she is like the Chanel queen (I <3 Chanel)! Her clothing line is luxe as well, I'd go bananas for the entire line.

and last but certainly not least...

RIHANNA
Bold. Edgy. Eclectic. Words that describe Rihanna's effortlessly cool style. She is truly in a class all by herself, no one can pull off an outfit like she can. Even her hair! How many women can pull off Kool-Aid red hair and still look like a gem? Yep, not too many. No matter what color her hair is or if she is on stage or on the red carpet, Rihanna is 2011's Top Style Icon.

I loved creating this post; I am always looking to celebrities for style inspiration. Is there anyone you thought deserved to be on the list? Leave me comments and let me know! Remember make fashion simple, and then add a touch of glam. Smooches!

Mall Haul

Heyyy blog-dolls I hope you have all had a fantastic week! I did a little shopping yesterday and I would like to share my goodies with my bloggers! My items are from Macys and Sheik Shoes. Majority of the stores had great sales, especially on shoes. Now is the time to stock up on coveted goodies for a great price. So while you are all enjoying the holidays, get out and have some retail therapy.

MY ITEMS

I bought these boots at Sheik Shoes $40 and I am in LOVE with them. Combat boots are a major trend right now so you should all go cop a pair.

Here are another pair of combat boots I bought from Sheik Shoes $25, they were buy one get one half off so I said why not?

OK I LOVE Ugg style boots lol! If I could buy a million pairs of the real thing I would, but while at Macys I found a great substitute. These boots are from a brand called Bearpaw $50 (originally $75), these boots are soooooo LUXE they are made with real sheep skin and the lining is GORGG. The quality is very nice and will last a long time. So if you do not have an Ugg budget this brand will do the trick.

I have wanted a long blue jean vest for like a year now and lucky me, Macys had this one on sale. This is a vest by Calvin Klein $20 (originally $95) the material is very soft and I love the quality. This item will go great with my new boots!

I hope you all enjoyed my post; I am a shopaholic lol so if you have found any great sales let me know. Get your shop on bloggers. Remember make fashion simple and then add a touch of glam. Bye sweeties. Luv Ash!
